The word saffron derives from the Arabic word zafaran. Researchers have shown through historic documents that saffron has its origin in the Zargos mountain range in Iran (over 4000 years ago). We take great pride in protecting Iranian saffron quality and legacy.

1- Even with a high demand for saffron export from Iran to Spain, we strictly prohibit any sort of mixture with lower grade Spanish (La Mancha), Portuguese(assafroa) or Kashmiri saffron. We assure every customer that every single saffron stigma is 100% pure Iranian saffron processed organically without any chemicals or perseverative.
2- Our Lux edition sold under Mozaffari saffron brand only includes sargol (saffron flower’s stigmas). Our quality control policy makes sure that handpicked sargol (saffron flower’s stigmas) is not mixed with Pushal (Mancha), Khooshe (Bunch) and KONJ (KONGE).
